Commercial HQ Match Report

       Commercial picked up all three points in a 6 pointer against follow strugglers Halfway House,but found the going very tough despite only playing against 9 men. Commercial took the lead when Top Scorer Chris Jones fired home a thunderous 25 yard free kickinto the top left hand corner. Nick Sutcliffe doubled the homesides lead shortly afterwards, driving hard and low into the bottom left hand corner from the edge of the box. But then disaster struck, Commercial went to sleep thinking the game was won and suddenly found themselves level with two quick goals either side of half time.

       Commercial quickly re-took the lead through Captain Antony jones. Despite playing a centre half he found himself in nose bleed territory, through on the right hand side and his cross drifted over the goalkeepr into the far corner of the goal. The two goal lead was restored when Paul Simon was fouled in the box and Jono Harding coverted the "PK". The lead was increased just before the end of the game when a Halfway House player turned the ball past his own goalkeeper. A hard game for the home side but they achieved what they set out to achieve at the start of the game whether in was 11 men or the 9 they ended up playing - Getting all 3 points.
