Commercial HQ Match Report

       For the second week running the Commercial played like they were Jekyll and Hyde. For the first 25 minutes Commercial were in command and playing some good football, and were quickly two goals to the good. Paul Simon swung the ball in from the left for the first goal, which the keeper palmed towards his own goal and the cross was finished off by the Osmondthorpe Right full back. Paul Simon was also involved in the second goal. His cormer was flicked towards goal by Wayne Jubb and Nick Sutcliffe poked the ball home from close range. Commercial then pressed the self destruct button and conceded two quick goals just before half-time to go in level, which for the last 20 minutes of the half Osmondthorpe desereved after dominating the game.

       Commercial came out of the blocks like a house on fire in the second half and quickly had the lead again. Ryan McGee slipped in a pin-point threw ball to Chris Jones who made no mistake in slipping the ball pass the advancing keeper. It was quickly 3-3 shortly after that with a dubious offside goal. Osmondthorpe continued to dominate the game and created some good chances which were well saved by Kieran Sutcliffe. For the last 15 minutes Commercial finally woke up again and created numerous chances to finish the game off, with Antony Jones clipping the cross bar and Chris Jones hitting the post. Another good work out though for the Commecial as they prepare for the new season on the 2nd September.
