Commercial HQ Match Report

       Commercial got back to winning ways with a strong performance against their promotion rivals to move to 4th in the league table. Once again in blustery conditions Commercial had to withstand intense pressure from the home side in the first half but did so with ease, forcing Billet to just long shots, of which only one was on target and was well saved by Antony Kirby.

       The second half was all Commercial. Firstly Andy Gale picked up the ball and played in Matty Simon, who magnificiantly lobbed to goalkeeper from just outside the area. Andy Gale was again involved in the second goal. He broght down Paul Simon's long throw and then laid the ball off perfectly for Zinadine Zidane, oops sorry Captain Antony Jones to volley home first time with his 'swinger' high into the roof of the net from just outside the area. Debutant Colin Green completed the scoring. He challenged the goalkeeper at the near post for Paul Simon's long throw and back healed home the loose ball Thierry Henry like. Billet did press for the final 10 minutes but the clean sheet was kept intaked when Adi Dodsworth cleared off the line and the post made a great save from a penalty!

       A strong perfromance by the Commercial in their late surge for promotion and with only two games to go they are in the form to do so!
